The Aim of the Foundation

To assist and stand with women in need; to give them material, financial, educational and moral support. To help women – through the love of God – to see themselves in a broader and more positive perspective, and to help them to further develop as individuals.

Our vision is to provide a temporary safe place of living and recovery in an environment of​ encouragement and security to young women 18+. The Hope for Life Foundation extends to women in need who have a need for help. Training and meetings are organized for strengthening personal growth and development, as well as promoting the education and practice of healthy lifestyle values and financial and / or material support can be offered.

Objectives

The Hope for Life Foundation provides support to socially vulnerable women in Latvia.
The goal is to support these vulnerable women by standing next to them and helping them reach their full potential through training and empowerment.

It is not always clear in advance which activities will be carried out in a year. This is because the foundation actively responds to the situations it faces.

The objectives of the foundation are formulated as follows:

1.To establish and maintain a safe living place and encouragement for vulnerable women without dependants by means of supported short-term accommodation.
2. To help women to understand and to develop their personal goals in order to help them to reach their full potential.
3. To train and encourage vulnerable women to develop good basic life skills, i.e. to maintain and sustain:
– good households;
– appropriate financial skills;
– quality relationships;
– appropriate and realistic work / career goals;
– personal health and hygiene standards.
4. To help to empower women with a vision for their own lives.
5. To assist women to take their rightful place in the community and society in general for the betterment of themselves, society, as well as Latvian and European cultures.
6. To enable women to help and assist others to serve in their communities.
7. To organise cultural events.
8. To organise, promote and run trainings in order to achieve the aim of the Foundation.
9. To cooperate with organisations, media, legal entities and private persons who can assist with the aim and objectives of the Foundation.
10. To establish and to develop labour relationships with organisations, associations and private persons in Latvia and other nations if their aims and objectives are similar to that of the Foundation.
11. To carry out any other activity in accordance with the aim of the Foundation and the legislation of the Republic of Latvia.​
12. In order to fulfil the aim, the Foundation can buy, rent or sell a property or a land from / to organisations or private persons as well as to receive gifts, offerings and financial support from organisations or private persons within Latvia and other nations.

The foundation achieves its goal by:

 • Extending supporters and recruiting new contacts that support the foundation’s purpose (financial or otherwise);
• Collaboration with other (local) organizations and foundations with a similar objective as the foundation.
• Maintaining a website and providing current information about the Hope for Life Foundation in another way (such as by means of mailing / newsletters).
