It is meanwhile already end of September and the last three months there is no news shared with you on this site. The last period several young women stayed over with us or visited us and also we have travelled a lot during the summer. For sure it was not a boring or quiet period I can tell you!
Now the new season started, as well in nature as well in our lives.
Marina has recently turned 18 and it means she is not my fosterdaughter anymore. She can live as long as she wants with me, because to me she was from the beginning family and only on paper the word foster was needed! Marina is very important to me and I will continue to love her and support her. It does mean we are not dependent on the orphange court anymore. Marina has said goodbye to the woman who was responsible for her for so many year and it was an emotional moment. She can still rely on her for other things, what is a real blessing.
First of September Marina started her final exam year. After this year she will face new challenges and I’m glad I can continue to assist her on her way to independence. She will start to do more with budgeting and prepairing meals. Marina has changed tremendously over the past year and she become so much stronger. She knows she was lucky to break free from her past and she dares to look forwards.
Its also a new season in searching for the right location for the house for young women. Untill recently, the focus was only on Smiltene, but now we are expanding the search area. This means it will be a period of uncertainty, but especially a big adventure and a challenge! I trust God will show what the next will be to take and in the same time the vision will be shaped.
