Started a new year also means look back at the past year. It’s been an eventful year with some highlights. One of the highlights was launching this website in October2014! Other highlights were a visit to an organization in Bulgaria, http://www.fscibulgaria.org, and Hadassahoeve in the Netherlands. These visits certainly contribute to further develop the mission and vision of Hope for Life. In addition, the flea market was also a special moment where Hope for Life was first promoted to a wide audience.
There is worked hard behind the scenes, though it seems there is no movement. We are still looking for the right location where we can start with the house where young women can stay for a period. Meanwhile, we have 17 places visited, one of which seemed to be very suitable. However, having looked into various possibilities and asked many people for advice, we had to decide not to continue with this plot of land. Also we saw a number of houses, unfortunately none of them were suitable either. What we are looking for we will certainly find, only yet we do not know when and where.
We are looking for a plot of land, at least 4,000 m 2, where a house can be built (or an existing house can be rebuilt) and which also offers room for two holiday houses and a vegetable garden. We are searching for this location in a radius up to four kilometres from the Centre of Smiltene. We’ll keep you posted!
