How wonderfull it is to be a fostermam!  Especially when the youngster  has girlfriends who regularly come over to stay for a day or weekend. It is clear that I can do something for them too because they feel safe with me and they share whats in their hearts. This causes spontaneous conversations about school, life, friends, etc.

 The various contacts with teenage girls, young women and mothers extends. Some of them come even for a few days to relax, to seek God together and for coaching and/of  discipleship.  How enormous is the trust  in me and every time its great to see how changed they go back  home.

Since three weeks there lives a teenage girl in the crisis centre who needs a lot of direction and guidance. I know her for a long time already and she would really like to live with me. Unfortunately I had to say no to the request to take her in my home. She will stay over regularly for a day or a weekend  with us. There is a question from the crisis centre and orphanage court  to work with them to examine what assistance she needs and what help I can offer. This requires close cooperation and I have confidence we will be able to help her. She deserves, like everyone else, a good future.

My work in Smiltene, the guidance of Marina-youthwork-discipling and coaching women, is an ongoing process. What a privilege to be able to stand next to so many and to be able to walk with them on their yourney of life!
