These have been busy, but above all beautiful and special months. After a wet autumn, we had our first real snow, but now it’s mostly rain again!

During these months, there have been many meetings with women, both during the women’s evenings and the follow-up appointments at my home. I had only met several of them once, and they wanted to continue talking and praying together. A young woman I met during a women’s evening came to visit me and talked for six of the seven hours she was here. When she left, she thanked me and said it was a great gift to have someone willing to listen to her life story. It was a very sad and harrowing story, unfortunately not the first or last time I have heard such a story.

I have not been going to the Well of Life café in Riga for some time now. However, I am in regular contact with Taylor and we are working on a plan to reach women in a different way. The first step we hope to take in the new year is to offer English lessons. This will not be only for prostitutes, but also for other women in risk groups.

At the beginning of November, I was invited to a baby shower. Bring a group of women together and plan a time… Yes, but that’s not how it went! We had a great time together baking and cooking (for the freezer for the mother-to-be), talking, laughing, surprising and encouraging the mother-to-be, and so the time flew by… Three hours later than planned, the party was over. 🙂

In the beginnining of November I was asked if I could speak during the women’s evening in Ogre. That’s totally different from sharing my testimony, but I said yes. Two women shared their testimonies after the worship time, and then I spoke about Psalm 139. I was surprised how many women didn’t really know this psalm. The message touched many and several thanked me afterwards. I was able to pray for many of them and we still had a lovely time together before going home.
