Reunion

After not seeing each other for more than six years, Inese came to visit together with her Dutch boyfriend. It was a special reunion and also very moving. Inese wanted to thank me for all the support and love she received from me during the years I lived in Smiltene. Yes, I had only just moved to Smiltene when she came by several times a week. My flat was her safe haven and we talked for hours, often with a smile and a tear. We have reminisced about so many things and we have shared so many special moments.
Inese left Smiltene and with that slowly out of my life. Sporadically there was a message, but it felt so familiar again. Inese is now going to live in the Netherlands, so I hope to see her again during my next visit to the Netherlands. We will certainly keep in touch!
