What a month it has been, so many visits and lodgers.
For instance, five YWAMers came for a weekend. They were following a BBC and usually go away for a weekend. Since there was only one student now, they had asked if they could stay with me. It was a special time during which I also had many individual conversations. There was good cooking and good food, and besides the serious moments there was also room for relaxation and fun!

Another special visit was from an English woman, Marie, whom I got to know better in Warsaw last year. I picked her up from the airport and from the moment we saw each other until she went to bed, we talked. How refreshing it was to listen to each other’s stories, encourage each other and pray with/for each other. Later that day, my friend Linda also arrived and they left together the next day for a snow holiday.

Agnis, his wife Lotte and their three children also came over for a visit. Agnis was part of the youth group in Smiltene. After not seeing and talking to each other for years, it was nice to meet them again and see them functioning as a family. What really touched me was that Lotte thanked me for being the first one to talk to them about what it means to have a healthy relationship. Nice to realise that what was normal for me to talk about turns out to have been so important and valuable for them!
