I had many appointments in the recent weeks: various (young) women for mentor meetings and cooking lessons, among other things. It can happen that my diary is still almost empty at the beginning of the week and before I know all days have been filled in again, with face to face contacts and zoom meeting and video calls.
The work concerning the construction and connection of the gas pipeline is almost completed, we are now waiting for the correct documents. If these are in order, a contract can be signed and the gas connected. Due to an outbreak of COVID among the workers, it has been delayed some time. Fortunately, they have all recovered and I have escaped the dance!
Now that spring has arrived, it is also time for the garden and other matters in and around the house.
The grass grows fast and unfortunately the lawn mower does not work. We have to wait for the cost of the repair; depending on the price, the old one will be repaired or a new one will have to be bought.
We have sown sunflowers outside and also kale in the greenhouse. Exciting what the result will be!
One of the women who regularly comes for a meeting brought a Magnolia Kobus as a surprise for the garden. To be on the safe side, we checked with the owner if it could be planned, it can grow up to eight meters high!
Insert screens have also been ordered for various windows, this is really necessary. So many insects want to visit us and we prefer to keep them out 🙂
And then there was the leak!
Marina was here to help with various things and she was looking for something in the garage. Suddenly she heard a noise in a separate room in the garage and immediately saw that there was a leak. It trickled into the room from the ceiling, and this had been evident for a long time. Examination showed that water seeped into the garage through the wall in the bathroom! Fortunately Marina discovered it and the problem could be solved the next day.
The contact with the owner of the house and her mother is very pleasant. We get garden tips from the mother and the owner is always available for other questions. This week her son mowed the grass in the front yard completely unexpectedly and spontaneously.
She recently indicated that the contract will definitely be renewed, so that was really positive to hear!
