From 5 to 13 August, 140 participants from more than 10 different nationalities were in Daugavpils for an outreach.
This week was all about bringing Hope and sharing the gospel.
A total of 1,000 food parcels were distributed and there were also aids, such as walkers, which whom we were able to make people happy.
Besides the home visits where the food parcels were handed out, there were also 2 afternoons for the children, 2 evenings for the youth, a men’s evening and a women’s evening.
I was hosting the women’s evening and I am thankful for all the help I got from other participants, they wrapped in total 360 gifts for the women! My friend Ilona shared her testimony through her paintings and afterwards we could talk with and pray for women.
For me, this is always one of the highlights of the year: being able to encourage people and let them know that they are not forgotten, but seen and heard!
None of us knows the grief people carry with them and for how many life feels hopeless. In an outreach week, something of this always becomes visible and it makes me realise again and again how grateful I am with my life.
This year, for the first time, a Family Festival was organised on the last day which attracted many people. It was a bright day where everyone enjoyed the various activities.
Every year again, I am thankful to the Lord for everyone who came to know Him, for miracles of healing, for protection and for beautiful and new contacts.
All honour and glory to God!
