It can freeze and it can thaw is a well-known Dutch saying. This means that it can go in any direction.
In recent weeks it has certainly been the case with the weather.
It was also like this in and around the house!
First of all, the last weeks it has been a coming and going of workers who are busy laying a gas pipeline. Mess in the garden, in the garage and sometimes inside the house. Just a little while and then the great work is done. It is estimated that it will take another six weeks for finishing the documents and final connection. What a wonderful prospect, still only a few weeks working with the pellet system.
The saying also applied with agreements.
Meeting in groups is still not possible, but I can receive 1 person per day. From a week without seeing anyone, only while doing groceries :-), this week is completely full planned again.
From a teenager who came for serious conversations + prayer + games + cooking lesson and eating together to meetings with the leader of Freedom61 and a colleague from Freedom61 the day after to brainstorm about the future.
A week like this is how I functionate the best, lots of conversations, encouraging people, praying together, etc.
And then spring has really started. It is the time to make plans for the garden. After a call for help and garden lessons, several people responded. For example, someone comes to prune the grape plant, someone else comes for pruning the roses and raspberries and yet another comes to look for possibilities with the greenhouse.
I don't have green fingers, but I hope that gardening will be something that I can enjoy together with some of the young people!
