What a year it has been! After the hope and expectation that the pandemic would disappear, the opposite has turned out to be true. This has made it another year in which many things unfortunately could not take place.

Still, there are plenty of reasons to be thankful for!
Grateful for good health, grateful for all visitors from the Netherlands, grateful for all encounters here in the house and during events, grateful for how God cared and for the miracles of God’s hand!

Now the year 2022 has begun.
The start of the year is off to a tough start: Covid infections are rising again, restrictions have already been extended until February 28, and it is therefore unclear what will turn out to be possible during the year.
We remain hopeful and will do what we can!

It is and remains special how God connects people. Some you only meet once, with others a bond is formed and sometimes after years of radio silence you suddenly hear from someone again. The first women have already signed up for time-out, including someone who hasn’t been in touch in the past four years!, and the first weekend with the teenage girls is being planned.

With the Freedom61 team, we will start the monthly outreach at the end of January where we will hand over tea/coffee, something delicious and a small present to the women. Our goal is eventually to be able to hand out meals, but we’re starting low key. A lot has changed on the street and after months of absence we will also have to discover what is needed.
