Cleaning the house, preparing a bedroom and a study room to be ready to have a teenage girl staying over for a while. 😊
That was the start. What did we do since she came last Friday? Well, we played games, watched movies, had times of serious chats, we laughed, prepared food together, baked a cake etc.
Today we watched a church meeting online where the pastor shared, after a good preach, in a funny way how a teenager of 13 year could react and live his/her life. Mmm, I think it was really recognizable, because she was laughing so hard!
Still more days to come, more to talk about and more to pray for. It’s great to have a teenager in the house again and through her to see the world in a different way!
Looking back to all the times teens stayed over, and there were many!, I always learned more about myself too. That is what I love when I am invited to walk alongside someone, it always goes two ways: we learn from and through each other!
For now I just hope and pray this period will do this teen good and she will be refreshed and build up when she will go back home!
